During our summer stay in the lovely ‘Getaway’ at Freshwell Camping in Croyde we explored the area and made the most of being right on top of the gorgeous North Devon coastline.
After a lovely walk along the North Devon coastline to Baggy Point, Nathan and I were in need of some refreshments. We stopped off at the nearby National Trust’s Sandleigh Tea Rooms and enjoyed some cold soft drinks – just what we needed in the hot summer heat.
We sat outside in the gardens which were full of bloomingly beautiful borders and had lots of gorgeous flowers. It was quite busy on our visit and lots of people were clearly enjoying some tasty food and drink whilst making the most of the summer sun.
I would like to pop back to the Sandleigh Tea Rooms another day when we are in Croyde as it was a lovely place to sit outside in the gardens and the food looked really tasty! I bet a cream tea here would go down a treat!
Croyde is my husbands favourite place to visit. We really want to take the girls. This looks a lovely place, we will have to remember it!
It’s such a lovely place isn’t it, right on the coast and the beach is amazing! Check out the tea rooms for a nice afternoon treat!

It’s such a locket coastal place! If you like beaches and cute surfer towns then it’s the place to visit!
How fabulous that you’ve stumbled upon such a pretty little tea house while hiking on the coast? The garden is so beautiful, and you were lucky to catch all the flowers in full bloom. Lovely place for a cup of tea and cake!
It was so lovely, I’m glad we found it, we certainly needed a cold drink after the coastal walk to Baggy Point!

My son’s name is Devon and I have promised him that one day I will take him to visit. This post has made me even more inspired to make this happen!
Aww lovely name! I hope you and Devon get to visit soon!
These pictures really make me want to go Back to UK as I just realised I did not cover so many interesting hidden gems such as Devon. The Freshwell Camping in Coryde is really something I should consider doing as most of my accomodation is in hotel. I seriously need to experience others type of accomodation. Thanks for your inspiration.
Oooh Devon and the south-west is the best! Croyde is great and trying some glamping at Freshwell Camping is well recommended!
After seeing these gorgeous pics, relaxing by a beautiful garden sounds perfect right about now. I’m in the UK once per year and haven’t visited Devon yet.
Ohh put Devon on your UK bucket list – you won’t be disappointed!

I love visiting tea rooms, but we only have one around here. Those flowers are making me miss summer already. I love the gladiolas so much.
I’m missing summer too! Tea rooms are the best, I could visit one everyday if I could!
Looks beautiful! A reminder of summer now that the harsh winter has hit us up in Canada
Yes we all need summer reminders now it’s getting much colder!
What a very peaceful and relaxing place to visit! I want to go there now so mesmerizing.
