Amid the bustling and busy campus of the University of Exeter is a quiet, peaceful and pretty place for reflection and a good afternoon treat. When I’m not busy with my adventures and blogging I am working for the NHS and training for my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. This means I am often up at the campus attending teaching and working hard! When I need to escape the library and seek a place for a moment of reflection I head to Reed Hall.

Reed Hall is an impressive grade II listed building which can be hired for events and conferences. It’s surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and regularly holds wedding receptions.

I love visiting the opulent Café Reed which offers a good range of drinks and tasty cakes. Last time I visited was on a sunny day in April I was able to sit and enjoy my afternoon treat whilst watching a group of cute little bunnies bouncing around on the lawn – so cute! Next time I need to go and have lunch as I bet the food is super tasty.

I hope Reed Hall and its pretty surrounding gardens remains my place on campus to escape student life and take a moment to de-stress and reflect – coz boy does clinical training mean I need it!

Where do you like to escape too for a coffee when life is just a bit too much?! Let me know in the comments below!
